Why Most Personal Training Fails…

Most personal training fails …

But it’s NOT because of the client!

Here’s how almost all personal training programs work:

-the PT asks the client what their goal is,
-the answer is almost always about weight loss,
-the PT creates an exercise program that can’t possibly achieve the goal because that’s literally not how weight loss works,
-the client doesn’t see the results they want,
-gets discouraged, and
-stops going.

No, the problem isn’t with the client.

The problem isn’t that the client lacks discipline, or responsibility, or desire.

The problem is that everyone involved is using the wrong tools to get to the wrong goal.

Despite it being the PT’s actual profession, they are erroneously taught that their work will help people lose weight. (That is almost certainly incorrect in almost every circumstance.)

But if the PT can’t help a client lose weight, why go to a PT?!

For so many amazing, life-affirming, health-promoting, and fun reasons!!!

Your body is how you experience the world! What better reason could there be?!
