Life with less IG has been a minor revolution/ revelation in my life
Miss last week’s email? Catch up here.
Me & my friend’s dog, Dim sum, being chauffeured around the city at night. It was very cinematic.
What I’ve done with my life in JUST the past 2 weeks, after deleting the IG app off my phone*…
- Had tiramisu at a local bakery while I sat in the sunshine with my friend
- Completed hard work that actually satisfied me to engage with
- Walked 2+ miles around Navy Pier
- Cooked dinner twice in one week, because I had the time & energy
- Drank champagne with friends and acquaintances to celebrate her closing on a condo
- Did a lot more cleaning, tidying, & nesting around the house
- Chatted with a cashier excitedly about the Drag Race Finale
- Did more yoga & spin classes than usual, because I wasn’t mentally & emotionally drained, numbed, or frazzled
- Finally watched Queen Charlotte on Netflix
…and OH MY GOODNESS, how delicious it has all been! It has warmed me like a hearty stew after coming in from a long horse ride across the plains in winter. (I’ve been thinking about Little House on the Prairie a lot lately, too.)
I am loving the freedom, time, space, and brain functionality it has given back to me! I especially love how my most challenging tasks (like cooking & cleaning) are much easier because I’m not already running on fumes.
What are you wanting more of in your life for this upcoming week?
Reply & let me know!
I swear, I’m just a regular human on the other side of this email.

Deanna
*I’m still on instagram, but I use it via the webpage, which makes it clunky and inconvenient… which is exactly what I want.
