Movement Mindset Coaching

A 10-week, 1-on-1 coaching container to unlearn toxic fitness beliefs, rewire shame-fueled patterns, and finally build a fitness practice that feels like freedom, not a fight.

When “Just Do It”
just doesn’t
do it for you.

When you’ve tried more discipline, more plans, more pressure — and now you’re ready to try something that actually works.

For women and non-binary folks who are rethinking everything they were taught about “health” and movement…

So you can stop fighting your body and start trusting it.

So you can go from…

  • Living in a loop of “I should move more” but never knowing where to start… to untangling your all-or-nothing mindset and finally getting clear on what you need — not what the industry demands.

  • Dragging yourself through fitness routines you secretly hate… to feeling empowered to say no to movement that doesn’t serve you, and yes to the kind that honors your energy, emotions, and actual life.

  • Beating yourself up for “falling off the wagon” again… to finally understanding the shame-fueled beliefs that keep you stuck — and replacing them with self-trust, clarity, and compassion that keep you coming back.

  • Questioning every choice you make about your body, movement, or health… to reclaiming your right to move (or rest) without guilt, apology, or anyone else’s approval.

  • Carrying the emotional weight of toxic fitness culture — perfectionism, comparison, pressure to shrink… to laying that sh*t down and stepping into a version of movement that feels like liberation, not labor.

Tell me if this sounds like you…

You’ve tried to “just get back into it"...

...but the moment you miss a workout or feel off your game, it spirals into a shame-fueled mental loop: Why can’t I just stick to it? What’s wrong with me?

The truth is, it’s not a discipline problem — it’s a belief system that was never built for your body or brain.

You crave a relationship with movement that actually feels like yours...

...but every option out there feels like another set of rules, another body transformation plan, or another chirpy coach telling you to “push through.”

You don’t want hype — you want honesty, nuance, and a strategy that respects your lived experience.

You know movement helps your mental health…

...but it also stirs up guilt, grief, and memories of feeling judged or left behind.

You’re ready to stop overriding your body’s signals and start honoring what it’s been trying to tell you all along.

You’ve done the plans, downloaded the apps, journaled the intentions...

...you’re not lacking tools — you’re lacking a space to unpack the stories you’ve internalized about your worth, your body, and what movement “should” look like.

Here’s what you stand to gain:

And If You Don’t Make a Change?

Are you ready to…

Rewire the inner voice that still says “you should be doing more”

— and replace it with one that says, “you’re allowed to go at your own pace”?

Stop asking, “What’s wrong with me?”

— and start asking, “What does my body need today?”

Take a rest day

— without questioning your worth, your discipline, or whether you “earned” it?

Unpack all the rules in your head about what counts as a workout

— and start creating a version of fitness that supports your energy, your emotions, and your joy?

Trust your body again

— even if you’ve spent years overriding, doubting, or punishing it?

Finally understand why you keep getting stuck with fitness

— and learn how to move through it with care, not self-criticism?

“Deanna's coaching is essential healthcare for re-teaching yourself to enjoy life through movement, eating, & beyond...

"I’ve been able to apply the principles and practices she’s taught me to other areas of my life that I feel have made me a better person overall.

I’ve been able to free my mind of the systemic brainwashing that diet culture had so deeply ingrained in me and I am forever grateful.

Deanna’s coaching has changed my life in a way I cannot replicate elsewhere. I cannot recommend her enough."
Sam

"I knew just losing weight wouldn’t give me the sustained self-love I needed...

“I had lost plenty of weight before and I remembered still frowning when I looked in the mirror.

I researched nutritionists, and not only could I not afford them, but I felt like that was not getting to the deeper root of these self-loathing feelings.

Finally, I found you!

I saw your program as a chance to reflect on how I could appreciate myself at any size all while incorporating learning about my relationship with food and movement.”
Rhea

Imagine this…

  • You wake up and don’t immediately shame-scroll through fitness influencers doing burpees before sunrise. Instead, you stretch in bed while you ask yourself: What do I actually need today?

  • You head out for a walk — not to “make up for” last night’s pasta or hit some arbitrary step goal — but because you want to feel the pavement under your feet, breathe some fresh air, and move like someone who trusts their body again.

  • You skip a workout — on purpose — and the world doesn’t end. You don’t spiral into guilt or promise yourself you’ll “be good tomorrow.” You rest. You regroup. You know you’ll return when you’re ready— not because some app told you to keep your streak alive.

  • That voice in your head saying “you should be doing more”? Yeah, it still tries to pop off. But now you tell it to take several seats. You’ve got a new voice now: one that leads with compassion & curiosity, not criticism.

  • Movement becomes a choice, not a chore. A reset button, not a punishment. A way to come back to yourself — not hustle for your worth.

And the best part?

You didn’t get here by pushing harder.

You got here by finally listening to the one thing fitness culture taught you to ignore:

Yourself.

You Don’t Need Another Workout Plan...
You Need a Coach

If you’ve ever thought, “I know what I should be doing, I just don’t do it,” — welcome. You’re in the perfect place for Cognitive Behavioral Coaching (aka CBC).

Most workout programs focus on behavior — sets, reps, schedules, calories — and never address the actual reason people struggle with consistency: the beliefs, thoughts, and mental patterns running the show underneath it all.

In this program, we work at the root cause level — the thoughts, stories, and autopilot patterns that have been steering your decisions for years. Together, we’ll uncover and rewire the stuff that keeps you stuck (like perfectionism, guilt, all-or-nothing thinking, and shame) so that action starts to feel natural — not forced.

This isn’t about “thinking positively.” It’s practical. It’s powerful. And it’s how we finally bridge the gap between what you want to do and what you actually do. — so your behavior changes for good.

Why This Approach Keeps Working Long After the Session

Here’s what decades of behavioral science shows about habit change and exercise consistency:

  • 🧠 People driven by intrinsic motivation — meaning they move because it feels good or meaningful — are far more likely to maintain exercise long-term than those motivated by weight loss or appearance. (Teixeira et al., International Journal of Behavioral Nutrition and Physical Activity, 2012)

  • 🔁 Cognitive-behavioral interventions significantly improve exercise adherence, body image, and self-efficacy — the psychological foundation of lasting behavior change. (Annesi & Marti, Journal of Sport Behavior, 2011)

  • ❤️ When people feel autonomous in their movement choices — not coerced, shamed, or pressured — they’re more likely to keep moving through seasons, stress, and setbacks. (Deci & Ryan, Contemporary Educational Psychology, 2000)

Traditional Fitness vs. Coaching That Changes Behavior

What Most Fitness Programs Do:

What This Approach Does Differently:

Bottom line: you don’t need more motivation — you need a new mental framework that makes movement feel like something you want to do, not something you’re forcing yourself to do.

That’s what this coaching builds.

Your brain runs your body — it’s time to coach both.

Movement starts here.

What We Do

Here’s what we’ll dive into during your 10-session coaching journey:

Rewrite the Rules

→ Unpack the fitness lies you’ve internalized — and replace them with beliefs rooted in autonomy, care, and truth.

Break the All-or-Nothing Cycle

→ Interrupt perfectionist spirals and learn how to return to movement without guilt, shame, or “starting over.”

Build Body Trust

→ Learn how to listen to your body’s cues — and stop treating movement like something you have to earn.

Redefine Motivation

→ Ditch the “no excuses” mindset and tap into real, sustainable motivation that actually works for your life.

Design Your Movement Compass

→ Clarify what matters to you and build a flexible, values-aligned approach that adapts with your energy, goals, and seasons.

Build Resilience for the Real World

→ Get the mindset tools to stay grounded through body image wobbles, low-energy days, and life’s inevitable curveballs.

This is for you if you are:
  • Ready to unlearn what toxic fitness culture taught you about health, movement, and your body.

  • Rewriting your movement story — from shame and struggle to trust and autonomy.

  • Craving rest without guilt, and movement without pressure.

  • Ready to move your body — but don’t want (or need) a structured workout plan.

  • Wanting deep mindset coaching — not another “you got this!” pep talk.

  • In need of a coach who sees the full picture — body, brain, emotions, and all.
This is NOT for you if you are:

  • You prefer someone to just “tell you what to do” instead of unpacking what’s getting in your way

  • You’re uncomfortable challenging cultural norms around fitness, discipline, or health (spoiler: I will be blaming racism… A LOT)

  • You want quick results without doing deeper internal work

  • In an active eating disorder or are harming yourself–let’s get you the love & support you need first ❤️‍🩹

  • A cis man–love ya, but I’m not your gal 💔

FAQ

+It’s great for anyone who is new or returning to fitness…

But also for folks who exercise regularly, but feel like it’s just another chore, leaving you unfulfilled, or worse, like you’re only doing it to relieve guilt or fear.

+If you are used to marching to the beat of your own drummer…

Or if you’re ready to break out of the good girl/rule-follower mold and find what fits for you, even if it’s not what everyone else is doing.

+You’ve tackled Intuitive Eating, and you’re ready to expand that same approach to movement…

As well as anyone who knows fitness, food, and body image are all tied up together, and you don’t know where to start.

+Because a main cause of body image dissatisfaction comes from our patriarchal society, I work exclusively with women & non-binary folks.

Totally! You don’t need a certain level of fitness or self-trust to start. We build from where you are.

We can work on form & cues for specific moves (aka, if squats always hurt your knees, or if you don’t understand how to do a move, etc), but we will not be doing exercise during the sessions.

You’ll need to schedule a FREE 30min Consult Call with me, where we will discuss your goals to make sure Movement Mindset Coaching is the right fit for your needs.

Then once you’ve booked your weekly session time, I’ll send you the intake form to fill out. I need that form returned to me at least 24 hours in advance of our first session. That gives me everything I need to tailor the session to you.

I totally get it. Pretty much everything in the world tells us that is the ultimate solution to most every problem. I am a non-diet personal trainer, so I cannot and will not help you lose weight.

If you’re onboard with the concept of non-diet, but it feels sort of scary and you just have no idea how to go about living in a non-diet way, I can help with that. I would ask that you think of this program as an experiment where the desire for weight loss cannot be a variable to account for. So I’m not asking you to give it up forever, just for our time together. I believe that after our time together, you will see why the desire to lose weight is based in bad science, shame, & oppression, and is actually holding you back from adopting true health-promoting behaviors, which is what truly will help you live a fun and fulfilling life–on your own terms.

If you aren’t sure that you can set aside the desire to lose weight, I would ask that you look back on my content about weight, fatphobia, and Health At Every Size to get more information about why attempting weight loss isn’t useful, and hold off on signing up until you are ready. No judgment at all. We all learn at our own pace, and you’re the expert of you.

This program is not for you if you:

  • Are a man.
  • Want to lose weight.
  • Are currently struggling with an eating disorder.
  • Are racist, sexist, homophobic, anti-vaxx, a TERF, or a Nazi.
  • Can’t handle cuss words or adult topics.
  • Are looking for a guru to put on a pedestal.
  • Have been advised by a doctor to not engage in physical activity.

Great! E-mail me at [email protected] and I will get back to you ASAP.
