Summer Tiiiime…

…And the living is easyyyyyy…

At least, I hope it is!

Hold onto your butts, because this is actually the SECOND email in a row where I–a certified personal trainer & professional exercise person–tell you that I don’t really care if you workout.

Really.

And yes, I sort of mean it in a pedantic way, like…

“You don’t have to call it exercise. You can just call it movement!”

But that’s one way I like to help my clients reframe their thoughts about what “ counts” and what doesn’t.

If you’re anything like me, you might not have logged a lot of hours in the gym this summer, but I bet you’ve been: 

walking around a new city on vacation

Swimming in a pool, lake, or ocean

Chasing kiddos at the park

Loading and unloading luggage into your car like tetris

Dancing to 90s cover bands at street festivals

And guess what… 

THAT COUNTS!

Give yourself credit for the movement you HAVE been doing, and don’t listen to Toxic Fitness Culture when they try to gatekeep what “counts” as exercise.

Summer time only comes around once a year (unless climate change has other plans… TBD), so take full advantage of the seasonal fun!
