😊But there’s also responsive desire, where once you start to experience pleasure, only THEN do you begin to desire more of those activities.
THAT is exactly how desire to exercise works for me A LOT of the time!
I’m almost never just going about my day, when a bolt of workout inspiration hits me, and I have to jump up and start doing squats!
Rather, what’s more likely to happen is I convince myself to just start moving with an explicit promise to myself that I can stop after 30 seconds if I don’t like it. (This is Intuitive Movement Principle 10: Gentle Fitness, btw. Just like xesual activity, it’s all about consent, babyyy).
