If you feel obligated to workout in order to “make up” for food you ate or having a job where you sit (aka living a normal human life), then the thought of movement probably doesn’t sound very fun. It becomes another chore on your to-do list. But who wants to willingly schedule and follow through with their own punishment?!
HARD PASS.
Think back to a time where you had fun while moving your body. Walking along a beach? Going to an amusement park? Dancing to the radio while stopped at a red light?
Think back to childhood. Playing on a playground? Running to get a kite into the air? Playing mermaids in the pool?
Enjoying your activity–even if it’s not a traditional “workout”–doesn’t mean you’re “cheating” or that it doesn’t “count.” It means you found movement that works for you!
Doesn’t scheduling your own pleasure sound MUCH more appealing than scheduling your own punishment? I know which one I’d rather follow through with…
